Transfer FAQs

An Authorization Code is like a password. It gets assigned to your domain when you register it. It is also known as Transfer Secret or EPP Code or Auth Code.

Typically, the Authorization Code should be visible in your Control Panel with your existing Registrar. You should contact your existing Registrar to obtain it.

Generally, you need to ensure that your domain meets the following criteria before placing a transfer:

  • Domain is more than 60 days old since you registered it.
  • Domain has not been transferred between Registrars in the last 60 days.
  • Domain is in the Ok status.
  • Domain displays your own email address as the Administrative contact.

We recommend, you lookup this information in the domain Whois with us.
